About the Event

This event is open to all Rideau Curling Club members and their friends and family. Curlers register as individual players. A captain for both the Rideau will be appointed. Before game night, the captain will arrange their players into teams. 

This event began when members of the Ottawa Curling Club became disgruntled with the club's temperance policy. They decided to leave the Ottawa and start there own curling club, now know as the Rideau Curling Club. Taking place every year between Christmas and New Years, the Ottawa-Rideau challenge is fun event! Club's alternate annually who hosts and dinner is always provided by the host club at no charge to the visiting club. 

There will be two draws. While the first draw is on the ice, the second draw will eat dinner and then vice-versa. 16 ends will be played and the total score across all the sheets at the end will determine the winner!
